I remember that Jun Sheng was asking us to compile a set of referential notes containing all sorts of general knowledge and real life situations to help us with our motions, especially for impromptu debates.
Anyway I think it's a good idea since it'd help us with our training and any future competitions. So far I've gathered a list of a select few controversial issues likely to appear in debating motions off
Wikipedia and some that I came up with.
It may not be too much but it's a good stepping stone to get the ball rolling. It'll be messy once the huge chunks of information appear though, so don't post any of those until we get a section dedicated to it up. Other than that, anyone is welcome to contribute more topics to this list =D
I'll put them up if you post them in the tagboard or email me.
